Milford Haven
Once a whaling town then a major fishing town, Milford now is a centre for the UK’s energy needs, with oil refinery’s and Liquified Natural Gas facilities situated on the banks of the Milford Haven.
The town itself now boasts a large marina and associated smart apartments, shops and restaurants built on the site of the old fish docks.
The town is laid out in a grid fashion and on the front grid, Hamilton Street, there are gardens overlooking the haven and marina.
Excellent views of the shipping in the Haven can be had from the band stand.
There is a good range of shops and banks in Milford Haven town whilst there is a selection of national retailers including a large supermarket in the out of town shopping complex.
